My approach
My approach is eclectic, holistic, neuro-affirming, compassionate, and culturally sensitive. Regardless of what we do together, I find it important to identify your values. Values give us direction. While we are doing our work together, I will help you understand how your mind and body are connected, allowing you to bring more awareness to your experiences. Main areas of focus include OCD, ADHD, and anxiety.
ERP, ACT, and I-CBT
Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) are the approaches I utilize for the treatment of OCD. We will work together to find the best approach which works best for you.
emdr
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapy that allows individuals to work through “stuck” memories, while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements or tapping). The bilateral stimulation is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the memories. EMDR can be used for trauma, anxiety, limiting core beliefs, and more.
